This thermoformed plastic drill press cover was produced using composite-based mold materials and TPO plastic. The use of composite-based mold materials allows the production of inexpensive tooling for production of low volume products. We use Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) materials to manufacture parts that require a higher degree of formability and exceptional impact resistance. These physical properties are retained in both high and low temperature environments.
By using TPO materials in this product, we provided our customer with a solution that dramatically reduced the damage that occurred during international shipping in cold weather. Thermoplastic Polyolefin is used with products that require resistance to climate change. TPO sheet is readily available in all standard colors, textures and thicknesses, or can be custom produced to meet specific sheet size requirements, colors and textures.
